Dear Dinah,
Depends on the test you have.... high blood sugar is NOT an automatic diagnosis of diabetes. (I'm not an MD but my husband has Diabetes II). There are things you can do to lower your levels and possibly reduce the likelihood of diabetes. Do you have a formal diagnosis yet?
I know my husband went through several tests, fasting, etc., after the blood sugar was high to determine if it was diabetes.
