Seriously, Doc, was that extra little bit of information necessary? Why couldn't you just say something gracious like "if she chooses to post, of course we'd welcome her back." If in fact she tried to post an hour early because she was unaware of the precise way your system works, I'm sure she could have emailed you, and you could explain it to her, privately, and hopefully allow her in a few minutes "early."
I think in your own way, you're just giving a very literal response to a question which was asked only as a way of expressing how very anxious some people are to welcome zen back - but crossing hairs in this instance is hardly helpful, and surely isn't likely to make zen feel like her return is welcomed. (I mean from one vantage it sounds like you're trying to keep her away as long as you possibly can - a view perhaps butressed by your lack of reception to the various entreaties that her block be shortened).
Lots of posters have been chastised for very unintentionally saying something that, in a way they couldn't anticipate, made someone else feel put down. If I felt that response was inappropriate and insensitive given the length of zen's exile, I'm guessing maybe she did too.
