Hey everyone. Thanks so much for your posts. It's so wonderful to know I'm not going through this alone. I want to share my experience with you because hopefully it'll help.

Don't quit cold turkey! I tried that about a year ago and experienced the worse feelings of my life. What I did this time was get those empty gel capsules and split my 60 mg tablets into 28-30 mg, 28-15 mg, and 12-5 mg, although I'm probably going to make more of the 5 mg (just did this with elementary school division and good-ol' eyeballing!). I decided to ween off very slowly so my body didn't go through such shock.

Still on week 3 of the 30 mg but I have had very minimal side effects so far. I think it's because I've been eating really healthy. This may sound dumb, but I figured my body is already going through so much I should do what I can to help it through. I know it's making a difference because one day I had 3 cookies and felt like I was drunk! It was crazy, and I got all spinny. I'm not a doctor or nutritionist or anything, but that sure reaffirmed my belief that how I'm eating is affecting my withdrawal symptoms. Try it!! Plus for those of you worried about weight gain coming off of cymbalta, I've actually lost weight due to this type of eating. Whenever I crave sweets, I have to debate whether I want to feel like complete crap the rest of the night and it's usually a good deterrant.

Hang in there guys! You're not alone! (Whoever created this drug should be forced to go on it so they can experience the withdrawal symptoms they're putting people through!!)
