Yeah, I think the EuroZone have cents.
But, yeah, shillings were done away with, I guess the same time as over in Oz? BTW your plastic notes are really very cool, even if I had said so before.
But I really hate imperial measurements. I grew up learning metric with no reference to imperial whatsoever, and then I studied physics which is all SI units. I remember when I was a kid asking for a half of a 'quarter' of boiled sweets (you know those sweets in large jars they sell) and the assitant laughing at me!!
Also, 1 American pint of beer is not the same as a British pint of beer. For some reason a pint in America and the UK is actually different in volume, the US one being slightly smaller. I even had an arguement with my boyfriend who was living in America at the time. I was right!!! hehehehe....
Bring on metric measurements I say however clinical they may be!!!
