How about you and she agreeing to a consultation with someone she can provide information to, and then you can talk to for one or two or three sessions, and see what this person has to say about the therapy and what you need. This is not out of the norm to request, and often therapists say they would like to have a consultation when the the therapy process seems stuck. It would be perfectly fine to say to your therapist that you would like this as you have heard it could benefit the therapy process.
Of course there is always the chance that the consultant will say that you need to be working with someone else. And then you will know if this is what needs to happen.
