ok, i've heard several of you at one time or another mention the book called "courage to heal" as an 'essential' book. i finally got it. my T recommended it a couple weeks ago, but i just didn't feel it was for me. meaning i still wasn't admitting any CSA. i went to B&N and our univ. library and did some reading, it seems it's true. i do fall into that category. i cried at the library. luckily it was sunday and no one was around. i just sat on the floor and cried knowing i'm a statistic. it hurt, then i started getting all kinds of weird pains (down there) i'm assuming all psychosomatic- cuz they went away later.
but long story short, i went to a used book store and got it for 8.00!
but i have to find a way to read it not at home. since i'm not that open with my husband. i just don't think i can, cuz then he'll bug me forever about 'who it was', then he'll probably tell his family, it'll get back to mine and i CAN"T LIVE WITH THAT!!!!! he'll deny till he's blue, or he'll have some much guilt that it will kill me.anyway. any clues' as to finding a way to read it in secret, i'm probably just going to have to spend a lot of time at the 'library'??
or if you can help me think of a 'reason' i'd be reading a book like that.thanks
b2c.
