One of the S in NaSSa stands for Serotonergic. Why Mirtazapine is considered Serotonergic?
It's not a Serotonin releaser
It's not a Serotonin reuptake inhibitor
It's not a Serotonin autoreceptor agonist
It doesn't enhance Serotonergic transmission.It's a selective, post-synaptic Serotonin antagonist. Calling this Serotonergic, is like calling Haloperidol Dopaminergic.
Is there an error in my reasoning?
