I'm a fairly lenient parent. It's easy for me because he's such a well behaved boy who always worries about doing the wrong thing.
I don't push him about school, because that would do just the opposite of what I want. I want him to learn because he wants to and finds it exciting and interesting. Forcing him to do it wouldn't work towards my goal. :(
Maybe it is a boy thing. And I'm very glad that he enjoys his friends. I just wish he enjoyed reading as well.
