yeah...the gov't has a liver website/database (it covers pharmaceuticals, mostly) and that's where I found the most comprehensive information.
it seems that now and then, green tea extract contributes to or possibly causes liver damage. thing is...if I recall correctly, the people in most of the confirmed cases were taking high doses in muli-component supplements, so its kind of hard to blame it all on the green tea extract. I think there's been some liver damage in animal models using hi-dose extracts, too, so...yeah. good times (note the sarcasm). :-(
now that I think about it, though...I might go back to green tea extract. i drink tea (mostly black, now and then green), but not the 10+ cups daily that make a big difference. plus...its supposed to go nicely w/ taurine, and im thinking about getting taurine to help with the madness/affliction.
