Ive took st johns wort and ate everything under the sun with no problems.
I also got great effects that felt similar but different to the SSRI feeling.
It's main mechanism of action is a serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, and gaba re-uptake inhibitor (amongst other mechanisms) according to scientific studies
It does have MAOI properties but only in very high (above normally clinically used) doses.
