The situation in the UK is very much as you describe it over inthe US.

MY homeopath was a MR Jan de Vries (a dutchman). Hes good, make no mistake about it and has numerous citations and works with the WHO and stuff, its just that I felt he was sooo busy that he didnt give me the personal attention *I* needed.

Its my opinion that part of the benefit of homeopathy is the very strong bond and therefore flow of position psyche, energy or karma (call it what you will) that flows from practioner to patient. For example he used to put his hand on my shoulder whenever I walked in (a very simple act really) and just that contact in itself had a positive effect on me. I've spoken to others and they've said the same so its not just me being a bit wierd ;-)

Glad its helping anyway..........keep us informed if you'd like as it would be interesting to know how you get on.
