Not on its own, but with medications.
Now I go to my homeopath first when my mood goes off and she adju sts my remedy. I am trying not to do unnecessary med changes since I used to do them every 2-4 weeks (!!) and every change throws me off a bit (or a lot).
So, I'm staying more stable.
My pdoc is also slowly reducing my antidepressants (she thinks they cause cylcling), and I think the homeopathy is helping me stay stable through those changes.
ALSO, (a big one), when the remedy is working, I've been able to cut out all (not some, but all) alcohol and coffee, without much effort. It just feels 'right' to be healthy. I'm beginning to think that alcohol and coffee cravings are one of the first signs of imbalance, when I need to call my homeopath and make a remedy change. Cravings, allergies (hayfever and eczema) and mood changes all mean I'm going out of whack.
Does this sound familiar to those of you who use homeopathy? I'm beginning to have some hope that I've found something important that will help me with my moods.
It also helps that I have found an amazing homeopath who interviewed me for 5 hours and gave it a month of thought before she prescribed a remedy for me, and also keeps in touch every week or two with me. I've had 3 or 4 homepathic doctors in the past, most of which haven't listened nearly as much or as well, and also weren't able to help me.
