I'm sure Larry will tell you as I got the information from him. Thanks Larry. He recommends you take L-Tyrosine on an empty stomach at least 20 minutes before any meal containing protein (and therefore competing amino acids). This gets it across the blood-brain barrier and thence is converted to norepinephrine and perhaps dopamine. Perhaps your breakfast doesn't contain much protein so it works anyway. I take 1.5 g twice a day and it seems energising but not anxiety-producing. About once a week I crash at about 8pm and have a long restful sleep. It seems possible to be sleepy and ready for bed but still energised. So bed-time reading to my small son is done at a good speed without my usual stumbling over words. Sorry I don't know what TMG is.
Good luck
Fred
