Iron taken on an empty stomach can really cause problems wih digestion especially if a large dose3 times a day is usually ..on waking before brekkie (or with breakfast if not taken on an empty stomach)..lunch/afternoon ..and at bedtime. You get into the "on waking" and "bedtime habit" after a while. Some people put them by their bed.
I only remember my afternoon dose as I start falling asleep..then think why can't I stay awake...ah haa
