I would not consider this civil -- it seems to circumvent the notification system.

I would find that uncivil, since the person posting would presumably have the same ability to notify as anyone else. Therefore, I would think it circumvents the notification system.

Whether or not I found that uncivil, I would find it ungrammatical, but that's a whole 'nother story... ;-)

Seriously -- that one wouldn't fly for me, although in my deputy persona I might wonder about it more. Again -- it would circumvent the notification system, since it makes plain that someone found the post offensive enough to notify about.

Mind you -- all of that except the grammar note is coming off the top of my head and is only my point of view. Dr Bob may have a different point of view, and this is his site.
