I have been posting here at least since 2000.
I find Dr. Robert Hsiung's site a pioneering
one in internet exchange of psychiatric information. I think he and his colleagues
are professional and patient. "Dr. Bob" acts
mostly as a moderator of form. I have noticed
his increasing addition of many sub-sites to
accommodate the needs and requests of participants--such as Religion, Social babble,
Relationships. The most helpful aspect of this site is
the common exchange of problems. Regarding
the answers, I believe that when conflicts
arise between the personal doctor and the
information here, it can be stressfull and
cause uncertainty and distress. If I were to recommend a change it would be
that this information could be somehow linked
with professionals and doctors who could act
upon the complaints or questions.Alas, psychiatry is a difficult field and
everyone is very busy. There may also be
legal limits to what can be done in this
respect.I would like to thank everyone for this
wonderful use of the internet.Anonymous
