i went to a psych hosptial in 2010 and I was on Buspar and it was not working, I asked for Ativan and they said it not suitable for me...but they put me on Lyrica...lyrica does effect GABA...but its used for Fibromyaglia and some docs do not know its offlabel use for anxiety. It works vary for anxiety, but for your doc...ask about Nuerontin. That is widely known for anxiety when benzos are not considered. Seriously ask him/her about nuerontin, its the same thing as Lyrica...its a bit diffrent but its in the same chemical class...there both similar in effects.Lyrica is just known for being more potent
move your kings and queens and play a game of chess with the doc and see what their stradegy for treating anxiety is....and see if you can move to nuerontin.
