As one who tapered off 4 meds and dealt with a close relative's death and job instability, including unemployment, there is never going to be the right time to taper.
Even if you wait until finding a job, you could be hit with something out of the blue. That is how life works unfortunately.
This isn't either or situation as perhaps you could start off tapering in microdoses such as 2% of current dose every 3 to 6 weeks. And see how you do.
I am doing that with my last med, Doxepin, since it is a sleep med. I had no problems at all. It will take me awhile but who cares as long as I eventually get off.
Obviously, you know your situation the best and have to make the call as to what to do. But I am sensing (I could be wrong) you really want to get of the meds.
