Hi,
I just started taking Nardil about 2 weeks ago. I'm a big soy milk drinker and nut eater and so far I have had no problems. Of course, I'm not eating as many nuts as I used to just to be safe. I don't know about spinach. Someone here said they still eat avacados as long as they're not too overripe (same with bananas).
I'm still a little confused though too. Like, I eat those Kashi granola bars, but there is soy protein isolate in those. Is that safe? What about soy grits? And the whole yeast extract doesn't make sense to me either. All of the boxes of rice contain autolyed yeast extract. What is that???
You're right, this is confusing. I have a great new booklet about the MAO-I diet that I got from Teva (the makers of that Parkinson's Drug). It's very up to date and lists foods you cannot eat, food you can eat in moderation and foods you can eat. I'll check and see what they say about spinach and get back to you.
