On further research, looking at Ovations Pharms site, their Desoxyn, IS indeed indicated for SHORT TERM obesity^ perhaps your eating disorders specialists prefered choice?, as i have read of a patient on it describing it as "Anorexia in a pill".

paulbwell,
Sorry, my Doctors prefered choice, for me anyway has been eating healthy, exercise and stress management for the eating when I am not hungry. I do have Major depressive disorder so I do find exercise hard for me to do because I just can't seem to motivate to do it. I have been on several different antidepressants in the past but am currently on Cymbalta. Which BTW, I switched to from a high dose of Effexor XR 450 mgs. that I had been on for years and I had no withdrawl or side effects whatsoever. :) So , I think with my excessive daytime sleepiness and the provigil not working for that anymore he decided to give the Adderall a try. OH, and where did you hear about taking tums with Amphetamines to increase their effects? Just curious. Thanks,
:)NISSYNICOL
