I have had this effect often whe taking benzos and other drugs that usually would cause a relaxing effect. (pain meds)
I think it is that I am exhausted and overwhelmed by my anxiety level and upon being relieved of it I feel energized.
Anxiety is a very heavy load to shoulder and being overstimulated in general just causes me to just shut down. Take away that and I often find myself feeling refreshed as though I have had a short nap.
