Any stimulant is dangerous when an MAOI is combined with it. Including caffiene. Caffiene works by a different mechanism, but it still does the same thing an amphetamine does-- speed up the heart. Considering hypertensive crisis is the major concern with MAOIs, this is something to avoid.
Provigil would probably be safer than caffiene, but I'm no doctor, and it's still listed as a contraindication to MAOIs...
