I wish I had an answer to Mitch's question as to why the FDA won't allow new and better drugs here in the US., after all, the US drug companies do their testing in Europe. I thought it was interesting the FDA "reached out" to Europe and killed the use of Amineptine for Europeans (now it's only available in South America - at a high cost I believe). My only thought would be to "privatize" the FDA (there might be a lot more to the solution than that)- nothing could be worse than the current FDA mess.
