Hey a half mile is great! I couldn't even do that without hurting something big. Good job!

Get good running shoes pad them with extra socks and don't further than 2 miles as I was a runner and now cause of it have osteoarthritis from the pounding. My all time best was l3.5 miles in the snow and ice living in Connecticut where I'm from. But the high from running I miss so much. It was a natural antidepressant and antianxiety med. Did not need them when running. Phillipa

Half a mile?
Two miles?
You people are really fit.
And I think I'm fit?
I sometimes run across the road, but not actually along it.
Maybe I need to loosen up?

sounds good. I will never run further than a mile. no worries there.

I'm convinced that running is the worst cardio exercise ever invented, but yeah, I *did* feel good when I came back.

My experience was I'd kind of meditate or keep singing a piece of a song in my head while running. And if I'd had a problem in my head the answer was always there about 20minutes after the run. I was closer in age to you to at the time. Phillipa

Today I lifted weights for 30 minutes and then did intervals on the elliptical for 32 minutes.

The machine said I burned 255 kcal. yippee!

Now I'm drinking iced tea

this cardio stuff makes me feel better about myself. maybe I should do it more often

That's neat! I think I run in ellipticals when I'm running myself in circles :-) - do those count?? I know I'm getting dizzy!

Good for you, Llurpsie!
