What do you think?

Do you think people with normal self esteem talk to themselves good things in their head? Or is it just something that happens unconsciencely?

They probably talk about bad things, too, if they're "normal". They probably have a better match-up between good thoughts/good things or bad thoughts/bad things. Instead of, for instance, always thinking bad things even when good things are happening.

That's an interesting question. I'd love to understand how other people think...

I've always just assumed that high self esteem was more of an absence of something (the negative self-talk) than the presence of something (positive self-talk, I guess). But as I think about it now, I think everyone has some sort of running commentary about themselves in their head... is it possible to get through life without noticing and judging your own behavior
(whether negatively or positively), at least sometimes? I'm not sure.

For me, I often wonder how much of what is "normal" to be really isnt normal, and how much is. I dont put a lot of importance on the word "normal", but in this sense, it's an interesting question.
