I took that stuff once before and didnt think much about it. Just some crap that is like St. Johns Wort
But later in this week i just decided to make another trial of it.
I found that 2 capsules (100mg) is noticable, sort of a feeling of just general calmness, and well-being, sort of a "stablization"
At 200 mg (4 capsules) sort of a euphoria, but it well not really, it was just more noticable, a vague feeling of stablization, that makes everyting feel its going to be "ok".
It also helped me with some insomnia at 150mg, you may want to check into it.
I Just posted for you just to have some insight.
Good Luck, best to you
Matt

In reply to I have found 5-HTP supplement was noticable, posted by mmcconathy on January 16, 2005, at 12:18:35
I just started taking 5HTP too, and also think it affects me more than other supplements. I started taking it each eve as I changed my drugs to the norepinephrine-dopamine side. I did well for the first few days; then I became more anxious and irritable--then I realized I hadn't taken the 5HTP. Took it last night 200mg and feel better today.
How much are you planning to take? I am wondering if I should try even a higher dose, could still work more on the anxiety....
This is the end of the thread.
