Lar,
I recently ordered some tryptophan (from the link you posted)......I was feeling like crap at the time and really wanted to try some tryptophan.....but it took a while to arrive and I couldn't stand feeling that crummy any longer...so, while waiting, I restarted my Lexapro......right now I'm taking 30 mg Remeron plus 5 mg of Lexapro.......so, can I still take ANY of the tryptophan? Even just a very small amount (maybe for sleep)? Or would that be too risky to chance? Thanks!

Just keep in mind the symptoms of serotonin syndrome, as we discussed before.

Lar,
"Just keep in mind the symptoms of serotonin syndrome, as we discussed before".
>>>>>>>> What exactly are the symptoms? (I've read about some symptoms, scattered in various posts on the Babble board, but are there clearly distinguishable symptoms?) Some of the symptoms I've read about, like increased sweating, I get that from the ssri's anyway...what are the clear, defining symptoms? And, IF I did notice them, would immediately stopping the tryptophan likely be sufficient to stop the problem? Thanks!
This is the end of the thread.
