Ok, well at least someone responded..... ha..

OK,
1.Prozac 20mg Daily

2.Dexedrine 40mg Daily (but i dont take somedays)

3.Klonopin 6mg daily (that is a mega dose but i usally take 4 if i have to)

4.Zyprexa 2.5mg mood stablizer [nightly]

5. Restoril [temazepam] 30mg nightly (always take this) ROFL...

Thats it for now. I may go on Xanax .5mg- 1mg, which i will have to take more often than Klonopin but WHO CARES, klonopin calms me down but makes me depressed, and i have stated that many times.

I may go up on Zyprexa to 5mg.

Thats it for now.

So that is my drug Resume, now compared to Ame Sans Vie's he takes so many barbiturates, GHB, and benzodiazepines, i could faint! plus two potent stimulants [Dexedrine + Desoxyn (methamphetamine) for christ sake! plus Prozac 40mg but that doesnt count compared to all the rest... ROFL!!!!

Well it is good being me.

Thanks Phillipa

Matt

Polypharmacy is a tricky thing, I should know.. I would say that any patient on polypharmacy probably is the only person in the world with that exact combination of medication.

Let's see... 60mg + 20mg Cymbalta, 40mg + 120mg Valium, 900mg qid Neurontin, 1125mg tid Robaxin, 900mg qhs Seroquel, 15mg qhs Ambien.

So you take a total of 80mg of cymbalta? Why do you split it? Fondlly, Phillipa ps how long did it take to get it so high?

That was an error.. its actually 60 + 30.. 90mg.

I take the bulk in the early afternoon because its theoretically stimulating although not at a level I notice, the rest at night.

I can't quite recall -- I think I changed from Luvox to Cymbalta about a year ago when Cymbalta was out and was starting to be regularly prescribed. I was on 60mg, 30 + 30, I believe.. for a while, then 80mg -- 30 + 20, 30... and most recently the past month 60, and 30. We may go higher but the insurance company is ridiculous when managing Cymbalta -- they only hand out so many of so many pills and when the combination of pills gets to a point they wont hand out another size even if they get whatever lame high copay (I'm on a PPO) they get. This company shall remain nameless. They are totally wierd because they'll prescribe what seems to be any amount of Seroquel as long as they get their $100.

But I'm glad I have this coverage as one of Clinton's legacies, whether one believes in him or not politically, was HIPAA, which is the Health Insurance Portability and Acountability Act of 1996, which guarantees coverage after you have exausted COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act)coverage. Its not free, but its required of the insurance companies to comply portability.

Even on Medicaire with a small insurance card my first rx of cymbalta was $260/mth. He wants me to take 30mg for a week, 60mg for a week. 90mg. for a week, 120mg says that's his average dose. I'm taking it slower than that my anxiety is too high. What type of side effects did you have as I was also on luvox first and had none. Fondly, Phillipa

120mg -- he may treat patients more agressively and may have more experience with other patients at that level. I dont think my doctor does. But there are plently of people on that high of a dose from what I can tell. Personally I would give 60mg a greater chance than a week -- Cymbalta, an SSNRI probably works faster than most SSRIs being a bit more clean and modern, but not that fast.

I'm sorry your costs are so high. I think the costs may be similar regardless of the size of pill, but that varies. If you're not on any drug-covering insurance, as I think Medicaire is generally, I would definately call all your local pharmacies for cost explaining your cost situation as they can vary a bit.

I don't think I had too many side effects on Luvox other than the usual "male one" of decreased libido.

Somewhere in my cocktail of medications, it may have been with Luvox, although I experience it mildly so today even with Cymbalta, I had "electric shocks" when my metabolism increased a fair bit -- i.e. excercise.

Other than that, the only thing else was transient nausea when increasing doses, which was solvable mostly by chewing raw ginger and Pepto Bismol. That typically only lasted a few days.
