Re: HELP - switching from Lex to Zoloft

My daughter's doctor is switching her from 10mg Lexapro to Zoloft. He suggested that we taper the Lex to 5mg x 2 days, then to 2.5 x 2 days, then DC for 1 day, then start the Zoloft at 12.5mg for 1 week, then up to 25mg. What can we expect for withdrawal and anything we can do to help? She's 16 and also takes Provigil and is prone to being very irritable. Do you think we should stop the Provigil during this time? He didn't tell us, didn't think to ask. Thanks!
