I'm sorry your meeting didn't go the way you wanted it to. I get extended time on exams as well (time and a half).

As for tutoring, maybe you can ask another student in your class, and/or somebody who has already taken that class, for help. Maybe your professor can point you in the direction of a student that would be willing to help you. My college has a writing center where we can meet with student tutors for help on papers. Does your school have anything like that? Also, I would highly recommend taking advantage of your professors' office hours. If their office hours aren't convenient for you, ask them about setting up an appointment. I know my professors are always willing to make appointments to address questions about the material, discuss papers, etc. If you're really struggling in the class, ask if you can set up a regular appointment with them. Also, I often email my professors if I have a question that I need answered before I can see them (i.e. late at night), or if I can't find a time that works to meet with them.

I guess I probably haven't told you anything you didn't already know, but I thought I'd give it a try.

Good luck.
