Of course, my excuse is that the Adderall put me to sleep for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. The Sleep Attack started about an hour and a half after taking my second dose of the day, so it's not that it's wearing off...

Anyway, my project is to find treatment resources for two fictional people, one with depression/grief issues, the other with an eating disorder. I've got to show how I went about searching for treatment options, what I've learned about each of them, etc. And doesn't that sound easy? I've searched out options for myself, and found treatment, so I can just use that, right? HA! It's the documentation that gets me, and that I really don't want to turn something in that says, "I learned this while searching for treatment for myself..." "Yes, Dr Instructor, I was looking for treatment, while wandering around at 95#, with my pdoc never questioning the fact that weight gain was such an issue for me that I refused to take various drugs he thought might help." I don't think so. I'd much rather he continue to think I'm just a good student. :-) Somehow, learning that it's just Obsessive Compulsive Features doesn't seem quite so impressive, you know?

So, for my project, I would like to have a draft complete by Sunday night. I would like that draft to show the following elements:

1. Brief description of the fictional clients.
2. Recommended treatments
2.a. Where those treatment recommendations came from.
3. An outline showing how the rest will be set up, which will include:

3.a. Information about the quality and quantity of information from various sources ("the yellow pages contains two listings under eating disorders, both for individual psychotherapists.")
3.b. Ease of access of information, along with consistency of information (Do the same resources show up across multiple websites, for example)
3.c. Information gathered from the resources found. Costs, insurance coverage, restrictions, etc.

So far, I've gotten information from two local non-profit agencies -- one of which only accepts referrals from County Mental Health; the other has a sliding scale, and will accept pretty much anyone, although the two fictionals would be somewhat restricted: the one with depression/grief would be evaluated, required to have a pdoc and be on medications, and would be referred elsewhere if she were deemed to need more than they could offer. I've also "interviewed" my own T, who specializes in EDs; and a local psychiatrist, who was very generous in answering my questions.

Next, I need to call the local ED day program, and get a little info from them -- since my T wanted me to enter it, I already know a fair amount, but need more info, and anyway have to talk to the head of it about the support group there, which needs to get going again...

So, most of what I need to do by Sunday is writing an outline. And that means settling into it, and not goofing off.

Oh, and I have to do math homework, too...

So, duck duck?
