The jobs were (rather predicatably in hindsight) given to the children of the people.
So, for example,
The philosophy hire at Waikato (4/4 teachign workload and no expectation or output of research) was hired because her mother was an english person. Either High School teacher else university. Whatever. It was regarded to be her birth-right.
That's the nature of the hires. Tehir parents position. So it was regarded to be their inevitable birth-right.
They decided I was trash. Because my mother was on welfare... They decided I was trash.
So they decided it was their right to throw me back as trash.

If you see someone kicking a dog because they can get away with it... When you see how people behave towards those who are dependent on them... You see something important about them as a person...
