It sounds like your mother's views on psychiatric medications are likely at least similar to my mother's views on such medications. I know that it can be frustrating to have treatment that at least tends to do some good called into question by somebody so close to you. I'm sure that you're right about your mother being right in a way in some of her arguments about medications. Certainly, medications for mental health conditions have drawbacks and flaws. But I think that when a close family member is completely against medication that's at least intended to be beneficial (and it sounds like it is beneficial in your case), that can create a lot of unneeded tension.
I hope that somehow, you'll find yourself getting into fewer fights with your mother regarding your medications.
