and now i has a dongle :)
i do love my post-code for shipping :)
it seems perfect. no nicks, no scratches. i can't see any bright or dark pixels that people complain about sometimes...
i, uh, am a little disappointed... like when my friend got a projector and i was disappointed that it seemed grainy... but of course you get immersed in viewing the large screen... that is more the point...
apparently the apple thunderbolt displays have pixel density high enough so that 20/20 vision can't resolve the screen into separate pixels. i think... that might be what i'm holding out for.
the one i've got... it is a bit higher resolution than my (non retina display) macbook pro -- but of course it probably has lower pixel density with being stretched over 22 inches rather than 13...
it is nice to have the vertical display. perfect for anatomy pics since i can zoom a little and have the key off screen to practice with the labels...
it does look better if a i sit a little further back. and, uh, put my glasses on, since my eyes go fuzzy at half a meter. anatomy pics do come up pretty great on it, though. any higher pixel density and the PDF quality becomes limiting, anyway. it already is if I start going crazy with the zoom...
IRL is pretty high resolution, huh.
huh.
back to physics i go...
i suppose i'll have to try WOW tonight... just a little bit... though i don't see the point, particularly, since I keep everything on low quality settings since I feel kinda bad about using uni broadband for games (I was actually fairly sure at some point that they blocked a bunch of sites like origin and battlenet but then it seemed to be lifted... Maybe they took pity on us for recreational purposes??)
Anyhoo...
back to physics i go...
