I like the 'take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth' line. I suppose that dream was in part about not being good enough, but trying anyway.
Not a surprising dream I suppose since I just spent time with my family. I'm all about personal responsibilty.
My father is visiting and he's a bit strange, on the fringes of society I suppose, never has taken responsibility for much. Every moment with my brother and father was about my brother reminding my father about that. It's veiled as some gross distortion of the conservative vs. liberal debate.
My father believes he has ESP, and believes in a whole bunch of other things, and he's a bit paranoid too. I don't agree with him, choices he's made, but it wouldn't have kept me from trying to communicate with him.> And about the other dream, can I airmail you a hug? Then there is the idea I get from that last sentence, that you didn't belong there.... That seems positive somehow.

I might've been looking for something good to hold onto, trying to find it while I have a chance.eh...reminded again of the impermanence of things, how quickly we age. 2 parents with serious limitations, ill enough physically to make it clear that days are numbered.
I'm going to spend more time outside if I can, if the weather permits.
