You should definitely volunteer if you can find the energy. It's really rewarding. I'm lucky that the shelter here is kind of a 'come when you want' arrangement mostly, so that I can show up when I feel like it (and when it's warm) and not when I can't make myself go. Although, it would be nice to have a little more accountability to make myself go a bit more often... It's always rewarding when I find the energy to go though.
