It was bound to be unpleasant, Deneb. When she's feeling a bit calmer, you can try to explain to her how much you appreciate her giving you the money for tuition, and how sorry you are that you were unable to complete this semester. And maybe some of what you felt, and how it came about.
She might not understand. Whether she does or not has to do with who she is.
What will not help is for you to start feeling self destructive again. So do your best to divert yourself if those feelings come up. Your mother will not understand that either, and things will be no better and likely will be worse.
So...
You have your prescribed medication? Take what your pdoc suggests in these situations. Call your pdoc, unless she has specifically asked you not to, if you start feeling very upset. Distraction is good. Try to focus on hair, or play some repetitive game. If you can get out of the house without making things worse, try taking your netbook to someplace with internet access. Or visit your sister.
This too shall pass, Deneb. It will likely be unpleasant, but it will pass.
