But I think it is worrisome that when you're not otherwise occupied, your mind is urging you to do harmful things. I strongly encourage you to look for something interesting to do that won't lead you down the path of doing something that could hurt or kill you. And to think through where the urge to experiment with drugs is coming from.
You're good at biology, right? Instead of researching illicit drugs, you could study up and join psychobabble's group of people who know the details of the pharmacology of our meds.
Then there's always cheap thrills if you want to get out of the house. Trying out makeup at the cosmetics counters in the department store (silly, but fun). Go to a home furnishings store and mentally decorate the house you will have someday. I also like looking at tools in the hardware store.

My pdoc had told me it was okay to drink a little alcohol, but we're talking a *small* amount once in a while. And she knew what meds I was on, so could judge the safety. I almost never consume alcohol, though. I figure my body has enough substances floating around in it, some of which can be sedating anyway.
