Yeah, that would be great. Shame I live on a different contient! Do you know how to use a histogram? I read a review of the camera I'm looking to buy, and it said it was not recommended for beginners because it tends to take 'cool' shots unless you keep an eye on the histogram. I'd be totally lost if I had to buy it and find I can't take a decent photograph without mastering the histogram (whatever that may be). It made me wonder if I might be better off getting a more user-friendly camera, but I'm certain I want a digital SLR, not one of those pocket things. Can you recommend any particularly user-friendly models?
>My first "mini" trip will be next weekend. Saturday is my birthday and my family and I are going to a delightful little cove in a lake up by Georgetown. An old homestead, lilacs, old fences, cement foundation lines....irises....all the things that tell you that something special happened there a long time ago.
Congrats on your birthday! Sorry it took me so long to respond - I've been causht up with other things. How did the trip go? The fine weather held, but I painted my doors and didn't want to leave them open while I was away. Maybe next weekend, if the weather's fine. I wish I had a camera. This week I spotted a farmer cutting his fields and it looked like a giant stripey lawn stretching into the horizon. Would have made a wonderful photograph :-(
Forgive my ignorance on American history, but I'm curious - what happened at Georgetown all those years ago?
