sounds like perfection dear!
i had a nice plant in my living room (which i've now began calling my 'tunnel of death' due to inactive second hand smoke). it's not doing so great. i've decided to move it for now, extinguish any smoking in said 'tunnel of second hand smoke death' (the name changes frequently, mind you...) and talk to my plant daily.
my downfall is that i step in the kitchen to speak to the poor thing and only blow smoke on it.
evergreen petunias (oh god, i hope you're talking about fake plants or else i'm typing for no reason other than to remind myself that i can not smoke in this room...) sound lovely. even if they turn brown.
