We try to travel when it's the hottest and most humid here. I always get overly optimistic about when the weather will cool down here. By the end of September I'm gasping for a breeze! I do like mountains, but I'm happiest by the sea/ocean/large body of water. Either watching waves lap at a shore or come crashing in is the most soothing thing I can do every day. Mountains mostly remind me of how small we are and how enormous our world is. Have you ever been in a giant redwood forest, Dinah? I have been to Muir Woods twice and each time it was like being in the most holiest of places - that's the only way I can describe the peace and awe that I felt. Even with so many other visitors around me, it was dramatic and therapeutic for me.

I like watching clouds but the sky can still be awfully bright even with clouds in it.

I hope you can put this work deadline behind you and get outside for a bit. Try not to think about anything. It's quite nice once you get the hang of it :-)
