I should add that many of the cylons look like people. Except there are copies. There's a Six, an Eight(s), and others. The copies look like one another, and tend to have similar attitudes and emotional ranges, and philosophical approaches, but they aren't identical. I guess they're more like clones-- different experiences with pretty much the same genetic makeup. Some of them like and identify with, and even become protectors of/members of the human race (Sharon), others hate/ or distrust humanity. Others simply want domination.
Some fall in love with humans. The Cylons mostly lack the ability to fall in love-- although they want to, sort of-- but also see it as a source of weakness and unreliability--but some like Sharon, and one of the sixes, and a male Cylon who's in love with Starbuck, one of the battlefleet's top guns, an alpha female, do.
The early models of Cylons look like Robocop, except more massive, and ungainly-- more clunky.
In the US, it's on SciFi channel, Friday nights, is anyone wants to see it.
