Yeah, I know the feeling well, too. What makes it most dysfunctional for me when I get those feelings, is that I emminate those feelings of being hated back onto the world. I now hate the world and everyone in it because you hate me. Poor me. Love me or suffer the consequences of me hating you.
Well, I realize that most people go on about their business without overreacting to my behavior. Some even have some compassion. Amazing. How do they do that?! The key for me is not to spill my self-pity on anyone because that makes me feel even more pitiful. I try to stop digging the pit of despair.
