I went into the forum and read, and I have to say I found the whole thing disturbing. I hope my therapist doesn't talk about his patients like that. I guess I don't care what my psychopharmacologist says, though.
And what exactly did he think the Effexor/Risperdal combo meant? Couldn't it just mean that Effexor is agitating, and Risperdal offsets some of those side effects? Why would he tell the friend to avoid the woman rather than tell him whether than wondering about the possibility that a less activating antidepressant might be a better choice for her.
Of course, I'm just a whiny client with too much time and money who likes to complain, and who would be booted out of their practices right away, which is kind of good because I assume it means that my mental health practitioners *don't* feel that way.
I wish I could introduce some of those people to my very empathetic and touchy feely *neurologist*.
