When I first attended the University of Chicago, we were given a little pamphlet that said, among other things, “If you are arrested, call the Dean of Students immediately.”
It didn't say why. Not, “Call a LAWYER.” The Dean! I think most UC students would be smarter than that.
When I was mugged, I was taken to the UC Hospital. While I was there, the Dean called me! How on earth did she find out?! I don't for one minute think her real concern was my welfare.
I hope this GWU kid gets a bundle from his lawsuit.
