Hi Phillipa and Wildcat!
There are many places on the web to post one's photos. I used Yahoo at first, but I didn't like it very much. I found that Tripod has a very nice and very easy to use photo album for members...so I will give you instructions for making a photo album in Tripod.
Here goes! I hope they are accurate!
1.) Go to http://www.tripod.lycos.com/
2.) Click on the "Sign Up" link
3.) Fill out the Membership form, you can unclick all the boxes at the end if you don't want to receive offers from them
4.) Enter the Confirmation Code, the code is the 6 largest numbers you can see
5.) Click "I agree"
6.) If your user name has already been picked, pick another user name
If some information is missing, fill it in.
You will have to re-enter the new confirmation code each time a correction is made7.) Go through the steps to confirm your membership, I think you will receive an e-mail from Tripod and you can follow the link they provide and enter in your password and username
8.) Pick the Photo Album Building Tool
9.) Then you will see a page called "Upload Photos: My Photo Album
There will be many boxes, with Title and Caption10.) Click on the "Browse..." button in the first box
A window will pop up
Click to pull out the list of files under the "Look in" box at the top
Find the folder where your pictures are in.
Click on the photo you want and open it.11.) Now, back to the Tripod page with all the boxes...you should now see a picture of the photo you want in one of the grey boxes
Put in a title for your picture and a caption to describe it
12.) Repeat steps 10 and 11 for as many photos as you want to show
13.) Click the "Upload" button at the top of the page
You will now see a dancing rabbit
It may take a while for the pictures to load14.) When it is done, click Done
15.) At the next page, click "My Photo Album" and your photos will be displayed!
Bookmark this page16.) You simply copy and paste the URL (the address) of your webpage into one of your posts on Babble and then everyone can see your photos!
