it sucks how criticism can inhibit us. i'm sure even the best writers wrote a few duds, especially in grade school. it's not like everything that flows from your fingers can be perfect. but i do really think you are gifted, dinah, and that if you wrote a book, i would thoroughly enjoy reading it, and it would probably make me laugh. (hopefully, you'd be trying to be funny, but sometimes i think you are also funny without trying.)
