Hello!
A few months ago, I found out that I got a transfer with my job that I had been wanting since I took the job last summer. Something opened up for me Philadelphia, which is kinda where I wanted to go (it is where I was before I took this fabuluous job that I love). Right now I feel like I am out in the boondocks, so I am excited to move back near some friends and extended family. But I now have an apartment with real furniture and the like so I I can no longer move just by packing my car. I do get a relocation check, but money is still somewhat tight for me. I am currently planning on making reservations for self-service move. In a self-service move, a container is dropped off at your place, you load it up and they drive it to your new place and you unload it. I want to know what experiences everyone has had. I am moving across country (still in the US). Has anyone done this themselves? a friend? Any good or bad experiences with particular moving companies?
