The process here during hiring for a position is test, interview twice, and wait. Once that is done, they have to inform each of the canidates as to who got the job, and why the others didn't get the job. The person that does get the job, is literally the last to know, since out of respect, they want to tell the others first. That way they don't hear they didn't get the job from another worker or whatever.
They told the last person today...
And I got the job that I had mentioned last week.
A pay increase of 20k per year at the least, the schedule I work determines if it will be more. The 4 on and 4 off schedule, so my actual "at work" time is cut in half.
Ofcourse no air condtioned or heated office to work in, and the temperature is more extreme than what 90% of people endure, 120 - 130 degrees F in the summer for instance. But that is the life around molten steel, and the pros outweigh the cons for me by quite a bit.
I am happy.. lol.. first time in a while.
