I hear your pain- and, horribly for both of us, realize that a lot of the points you just made are true.
The bad news is that they CAN require you to want to live; it's called involuntary commitment to a mental health facility...
That being said, since this is the capitalist society that has evolved, why don't you just use the system for your own benefit? Sign up for welfare, sign up for the free heat programs (or cheaper rates for "the impoverished"), Medicaid, foodstamps, et cetera??!!??
Our wonderful government created this society, let them support you!!!
If you are refused any treatments, go to a therapist and tell them you want to die and get a free ride to the nearest hospital and inpatient program. That wins you a "record" to use for DSSI and the rest of the things that the government has to provide as you now have a disability.
The fact is that many people honestly ARE disabled by genetics, physical misfortunes, et cetera, but because you are not, you're feeling punished by the cost of living....
The indignant idealist inside me screams out on your behalf...
The realist side of me says that those things will help your finances, but not why you feel that things can never get any better- and the fact that you refer to your family of origin as "those who share my DNA"... sounds like you need people to understand and a way to work out those feelings so that you can actually have a chance to be happy.
Can we be a start? Can you share with us your pain instead of your anger? I can empathize with your anger, but feeding a fire doesn't put it out. I'd be happier just listening to you vent your sorrows and pain and trying to help you externalize all of that which is a pressure bomb inside you...
Will you let us try to help? Please?
